Choti Choti Batyen of NTPC - 3 [After superannuation when I look back on my 36 years span of NTPC carrier, I find many uncanny incidents that I tried to recall in this blog post. Comments are welcome] Three tall chimneys of North Karanpura vanished gradually: At the Nilamber Pitamber gate of ETS [Enabling Town Ship] I waved my hand to the morning shift security guard. He also waved to us not knowing that this is the last time we are waving hands to each other. Seeing our pet dog Daichu at the rear seat two street dogs – Leti & Peti came running behind our car. They chased for few meters finally left behind. These two dogs often play with Daichi on the stadium. They also don’t know that their friend is finally leaving them behind. Quickly we came on to the double road leaving behind the main gate. With heavy heart we pass the Jora-Talao crossing and the DAV school. The 10th, 11th & 12th, these three batches of young & bachelor engineers were kept in and around several field hostels – FH-1A,1B,2 & 3. Most of us were in shift duties and beyond shift duty we literally had no jobs except gossiping around and playing cricket at the adjacent backyard park of the FH-1A. If it was first night or evening shift, then after breakfast we used to play cricket. There were several trees in the park. Comments are welcome] Vindhyachal plant versus Vindhyachal shakti peeth temple:  That was middle of March, 1988, After MTA few of us were posted at Vindhyachal for DOJ training. The plant Vindhyachal was situated at the then district Sidhi, MP. The original Vindhyachal – a sacred temple in Mirzapur district of UP was 250 km away from this plant Vindhyachal. We were coming from Delhi by Rajdhani express. We were told to get off at Mughalsarai station [Now renamed as Pandit Deen Dayal station] and board on a local bus for the Vindhyachal, Sidhi. The journey would take about 7 to 8 hours through the rugged hilly landscape of Robertsganj, Dala , Renusagar & Shaktinagar areas which is commonly known as malaria belt of MP.                ...
